The Lighthouse Family Programme

A Compassionate 6-Week Journey Towards Clarity, Connection, and Family Healing

You don’t have to keep holding it all together on your own.

The Lighthouse Programme is a structured, online six-week family recovery journey for anyone living with — or recovering from — the impact of someone else’s addiction. It isn’t an intervention, and it isn’t confrontational. It’s a steady, guided path towards understanding, boundaries, communication, and connection — for every member of the family, not just the person struggling.

You Are Not Alone in This

Families living with addiction often carry more than anyone else can see.

Exhaustion. Hope. Fear. Guilt. Anger. Love. Sometimes all of it, in the same hour.

You may have spent years trying to fix things, manage things, predict things, prevent things. You may have taken on a role in your family without ever choosing it — the fixer, the peacemaker, the watchdog, the one who holds the hope for everyone else.

You didn’t cause the addiction. You cannot control it. You cannot cure it. But you can change the system — and systems shape recovery.

The Lighthouse Family Programme was built for this exact moment: not crisis intervention, but the steady, structured support that helps a family move from survival mode into something calmer, clearer, and more connected.

What Makes It Different

It’s invitational,
not confrontational

There are no ambushes and no ultimatums. We don’t push or rescue — we offer steady light: clarity, boundaries, compassion, and connection.

It’s built for the
whole family

Every family member’s experience matters. The programme helps each person understand the role they’ve taken on to survive, and how the whole system can shift towards health.

It’s structured,
not vague

Six weeks. A clear theme each week. A defined beginning and end. By the final session, you’ll have a written Family Recovery Plan you can return to again and again.

It’s trauma-informed throughout

Every session assumes nervous systems that have been carrying stress for a long time — shame is often present, defences are natural, and safety has to be built slowly. Nothing here is rushed.

The Six-Week Journey

What You’ll Walk Away With

  • A clearer, shame-free understanding of addiction as something that affects the whole family

  • Language and scripts for setting boundaries without guilt, anger, or conflict

  • The STOP technique, for staying regulated in conversations that used to spiral

  • The Green/Amber/Red model, for reading risk without living in constant vigilance

  • Space to name grief, and to reconnect with who you are outside of crisis

  • A written Family Recovery Plan — values, boundaries, roles, and support network — built together, for the months ahead

Is This Right for Your Family?

The Lighthouse Family Programme may be right for you if:

  • You’re exhausted from years of trying to manage, fix, or predict someone else’s choices

  • Your loved one is in recovery, considering recovery, or you simply want your family to understand addiction better

  • You’ve tried support groups or one-off sessions, but want something more structured, with a clear beginning and end

  • You want the whole family involved in healing — not just the person who is struggling

This programme runs alongside, not instead of, treatment or therapy for the person experiencing addiction. It’s built specifically for the family system around them.
